The Rio de Janeiro 'Tom Jobim International airport', AKA Galeão (GIG) is set in Guanabara Bay. It is about 20 minutes by car from Copacabana.

The venue - Universidade Santa Úrsula, is halfway on the route from the airport to Copacabana, just in Botafogo Bay, by Sugar Loaf.

Universidade Santa Úrsula is closest to the Flamengo station of the metropolitan underground, only two stops away from Copacabana beach.

The hotels suggested by Metropol are all along Copacabana beach.

Universidade Santa Úrsula has a well-known main campus with several buildings, just across the road from the symposium venue, which is on 42, Rua Farani.

In case you find yourself in the main campus, cross the street using the pedestrian overpass.
